    Lullabies

    During the first few weeks of Aslan’s life I remember being up late at night with him, he was screaming and I was crying. I remember crying out to God. “Really God! With all that I’ve been through you couldn’t give me an easy baby that sleeps well? You had to give me a colicky baby who screams every night? Why did you do this to me?” It would have been great if Aslan was a champion sleeper who was easy going and happy all the time, but he wasn’t.
